David Tahran, 68, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday July 7, 2010 at his home in Jamestown, ND.
David Tahran was born February 16, 1942 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Gottlieb Tahran and Kathryn (Lang) Tahran. He received his elementary education at Jamestown and graduated from Minot high school in 1960, and attended Minot State. He moved to Jamestown, ND after college and two years later moved to Lansing, MI where he worked in the factories manufacturing Oldsmobile and REO trucks, later working for Mr. Sharp Saw Sharpening Centers as a design engineer. In 1969 he moved to Bismarck, ND where he worked as a design engineer at Andre Industries. He returned to Jamestown in 1973. He and Paul started Tahran Manufacturing; later becoming Equipment Distributors.
He and Rebica Delos Santos were married September 10, 2005 at Jamestown, ND. He semi-retired that same year and continued to reside in Jamestown.
He is survived by his wife, Rebica, Jamestown, ND; 1 son, Trone Tahran, Ashburn, VA; 1 brother, Paul Tahran, Jamestown, ND and 1sister, Caroline Torres, Pensacola, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother, Clayton.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday July 12, 2010 in the Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown, ND with Pastors Richard Reynolds and Bryce Tahran, officiating.
The interment will be at Highland Home Cemetery at Jamestown, ND.
