Clara Werth, 84, Jamestown, ND died Saturday morning February 9, 2008 at the Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, ND.
Clara Ley was born October 10 1923 on the family farm near Cold Water, East of Ashley, ND, the daughter of Jacob, Ley and Selma (Junkert) Ley. She received her elementary education at Ashley, ND. She taught in the area country schools around Ashley, ND.
She and Richard Werth were married. They made their home on the farm south of Lehr, ND for many years until they sold the farm and moved into Wishek, ND.
In 1998 she moved to Jamestown, ND and entered the Rock of Ages Nursing Home and in 2006 she moved into the Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, where she has resided there since.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and was a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by her 3 children, Fern (Leonard) Lippert, Stockton, CA; Janelle Bertsch, Denver, CO; Marlo (Sandy) Werth, Lehr, ND; 5 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Edna Werth, Jamestown, ND; Florence (Clayton) Mayer, Minot, ND and 1 brother, Clarence (Bonita) Ley, Rapid City, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
The Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday February 15, 2008 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Darren Purdy, Officiating.
The interment will be at 2:30 P.M. Friday in the Lehr City Cemetery in Lehr, ND.
