Christine Eiseman

Christine Eiseman, 93, Wishek, North Dakota, died Tuesday June 21, 2005 at the Wishek Home for the Aged, in Wishek, ND.

Christine Werre was born January 29, 1912 on the family farm 10 miles west of Wishek, ND, the daughter of Gottfried Werre and Katherina (Stauss) Werre. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity and helped out on the family farm.

She and John Eiseman were married October 17, 1929 at Ashley, ND. They made their home on a farm northwest of Wishek, later moving to a farm southwest of Burnstad, ND. In 1947 they moved into Wishek and he worked for the Soo Line Rail Road and she worked at the Wishek School. Following their retirement they continued to reside in Wishek and worked various jobs. John passed away August 26, 1995. Christine entered into the Wishek Home for the Aged June of 2002.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Wishek, ND. She also was a member of Martha's Ladies Aid. She enjoyed cooking and making wedding cakes.

She is survived by her children, Violet (Waldemar) Diegel, Wishek, ND; Verna (Edward) Sayler, Wishek, ND; Walter (Marilyn) Eiseman, Bismarck, ND; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 1 brother, Reinhard Werre, Wishek, ND

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter, 1 son and 4 brothers and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday June 25, 2005 in the United Church of Christ in Wishek, ND with Pastor Tammy Toepke-Floyd officiating pastor.

The interment will be at the Wishek City Cemetery in Wishek, ND.
