Cecilia M. Bonemeyer, 88, Fargo, ND, formerly of Gackle, ND, died Saturday morning April 24, 2010 at the Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND.

Ceil was born May 25, 1921 at Fargo, ND, the daughter of Henry and Irene (Haut) Bonemeyer. She attended the Gackle Public School where she received her elementary education. She attended St. John's Academy at Jamestown and graduated in 1938. She then went to the College of St. Catherine's in St. Paul, MN where she received her BA Degree in 1942.

She taught school at Noonan, ND in 1943 for 1 year, until moving to Plainview, MN and taught there in 1944. In the fall of 1944 she moved to Two Harbors, MN and taught there until 1946. She moved back to Gackle where she worked at the Thompson Lumber Yard, later moving to Grand Forks to work at the Irelands Lumber Yard. She then moved to Tacoma, WA where she worked as an accountant for Weyerhauser Lumber Company until retiring in 1984 when she moved back to Gackle. In 2001 she moved to Bismarck.

She was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxilary in Gackle, later becoming a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown.

She is survived by her 2 brothers and 1 sister, Maurice (Mary Jean) Bonemeyer, Fargo, ND; Monica (Clarence) Niskanen, Seattle, WA; and Philip (Dodie) Bonemeyer, Alamosa, CO, one sister-in-law, GeorgeAnn Bonemeyer, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Raymond and Severin.

The burial will be made in the Gackle Cemetery at Gackle, ND.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday May 1, 2010 in the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND.

Rosary Service: 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home
