Arthur D. Krueger, 87, Wishek, ND, formerly of Fredonia, died Friday November 13, 2009 at the Wishek Community Hospital in Wishek, ND.
Arthur Krueger was born August 8, 1922 on the family farm near Fredonia, ND in Logan County, the son of Daniel Krueger and Ida (Elhard) Krueger. He received his elementary education in the local rural schools and grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm. He then attended Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND.
He returned to the Fredonia area where he farmed and taught in several rural schools in Logan County throughout the 1950's. He continued farming until his retirement in 1995. He continued to reside on the farm until March of 1998 when he entered a Basic Care Facility in Jamestown, ND where he resided until October 2009. He then entered the Wishek Home for the Aged.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lehr, ND where he taught Sunday school for many years.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Velora Hensley, Breckenridge, MN and many nieces and nephews, Lavina (Stanley) Benkendorf and girls, LouAllen (Gertie) Krueger and boys, Linda (Reuben) Boschee and family, Carrel (Kim) Krueger and family, Kermith Krueger and family, Kevin Krueger, Curtis (Carla) Krueger and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Gerhart, Edwin, Herbert, Morris and 1 sister, LaVina.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday November 17, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Lehr, ND with Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd pastor officiating.
Interment will be made at the Lehr City Cemetery, Lehr, ND
Visitation - 2-5 Monday at the Funeral home and 1 hour before service at the Church on Tuesday.
