Arnold Ketterling, 80, Minneapolis, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at his home.
Arnold was born November 26, 1928 on the family farm near Wishek, ND, he was the first son of August and Katherina Ketterling. Arnold graduated from Wishek High School in 1946, then studied Accounting and Business at the Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND. Arnold served as a Corporal in the US Army in Korea from 1951 to 1952. Upon his return to the states, he moved to Minneapolis and worked at several local companies as an accountant until his retirement from Shaw/Stewart Lumber in 1994.
Arnold was a true gentleman who treated everyone he met with respect. He had a love for God, good food, gardening and dancing.
Arnold is survived by brothers, Allen (Korrine) Ketterling, Mount Hope, Ontario,
Canada, and Lester (Eunice) Ketterling, Bottineau, ND; sister-in-law, Mary
Ketterling, Brainerd, MN; nieces, nephews and many life long friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Maynard.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM Friday, Feb. 20, with visitation 1 hour prior at Walker Methodist Chapel, 3737 Bryant Ave S, Minneapolis. A reception will follow. A second Service and interment will take place at St. Luke's Cemetery in Wishek, ND, at a later date.
Local arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Homes in Wishek, ND.
