Annette Marie Carlson, 78, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at her home in Jamestown, ND.
Annette Ganser was born March 25, 1939 at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown, the daughter of Frank Ganser and Elsie (Matousek) Ganser. She received her education in Cleveland and played basketball for Cleveland High School.
She and Gerald Carlson were married September 22, 1956 at Medina, ND. They spent the winter of 1956 in Wichita, KS then returned to Jamestown where they made their home and owned and operated J & J Trailer Sales later becoming Jerry’s Furniture Sales.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, ND and a St. Johns Circle Charter member. She was a member of TOPS. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, cooking, gardening, watching the Twins and playing softball. She loved the color Red, was energetic and loved life.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald, Jamestown, ND; her children, Julie (Lindsay) Orr, Ypsilanti, ND; Judy Carlson (Lyle Wergeland) Bismarck, ND; Gerald (Darlene) Carlson, Jamestown, ND; Jeff (Nancy Bader) Carlson, Jamestown, ND, Jim (Carolyn Fischer) Carlson, San Diego, CA; Jackie(Mike) Akin, Minnetonka, MN, 9 grandchildren, Thomas Orr (Matty), Jessica Johnson (Matt), Zoe Wergeland (Peter Manstrom), Samantha Akin, Ashley Akin, Mike Wolff, Chad Wolff, Robert Wolff and Nicole Martin (Dustin); 20 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Barbara (Al) Huseth, Menomonie Falls, WI; Betty (Vince) Ament, Ashland, WI; Mary (Dale) Zillmer, Henning, MN;
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister, John, Francis, Bob and Dorothy.
Burial will be at St. Pauline Cemetery - Windsor, ND
