Anna Symoniak, 97, Lehr, ND died early Friday morning June 5, 2009 at the Wishek Home for the Aged in Wishek, ND.
Ann Ziegenhagel was born May 25, 1912 at the family farm home NW of Lehr, ND, the daughter of Ferdinand Ziegenhagel and Christina (Sifferman) Ziegenhagel. She attended school near Lehr and received her elementary education. She moved to Baudette, MN where she worked as a hotel maid.
She and Albert Symoniak were married October 5, 1937 at Virginia, MN. They made their home on a farm near International Falls, MN. Following the death of her husband December 13, 1968 she continued to reside on the farm. In 1981 she moved to Lehr and in March of 2009 she entered the Wishek Home for the Aged.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Chruch in Lehr.
She is survived by her sister, Emma Wolvert, Gackle, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, Edward, and 2 brothers.
The funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday June 9, 2009 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Wishek, ND, with Rev. Tom Puffe, officiating.
The burial will be made in the Riverview Cemetery at Reedy, MN.
