Anna Kalmbach, 85, Gackle, ND died Wednesday October 24, 2012 at the Wishek Home for the Aged in Wishek, ND.
Anna Moos was born March 5, 1927 at Gackle, ND, the daughter of John J. Moos and Elizabeth (Schott) Moos. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and grew up on the family farm.
She and Harry Kalmbach were married April 9, 1948 at Gackle, ND. They made their home on a farm 7 miles west of Jud until 1949 when they built a new farm 6 miles west of Jud. Following the death of her husband, October 7, 1966, she moved to Gackle and worked at Haut's Hardware as a clerk from 1967 until 1996. In October of 2009 she entered the Wishek Home for the Aged.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ church in Gackle. She was a Sunday School Teacher for 16 years.
She is survived by 1 son, Wayne Kalmbach, Bowman, ND; 1 daughter, Lori Geinert, Gackle, ND; 1 grandson, Myles (Jen) Geinert, Jamestown, ND; 1 great granddaughter, Rhemmi Geinert; Finnley Geinert; 1 sister, Alvina (Richard) Presler, Oakes, ND; 2 sisters-in-law, Cora Moos, Jamestown, ND, and Delores Netzer, Bismarck, ND
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 infant son, 1 son-in-law, Dani, and 2 brothers.
The funeral service will be at 3:30 PM Sunday November 4, 2012 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Tim Blackman, officiating.
The interment will be at the Jud Cemetery in Jud, ND.
