Alvin Dewald, 91, Streeter, ND died Saturday August 25, 2012 at the Napoleon Care Center in Napoleon, ND.
Alvin was born October 20, 1920, in Streeter, ND, the son of John Dewald and Lydia (Kirschenmann) Dewald. He attended the local rural school SW of Streeter where he received his elementary education and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
He and Alice Rivinius were married October 31, 1944 at Streeter, ND. They made their home on a farm 3 ½ miles west of Streeter where they farmed for 40 years. They retired in 1997 and moved into Streeter. He entered the Napoleon Care Center in 2010.
He attended the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle, a member of the Streeter Co-op for 9 years, Treasurer of the Streeter Senior Center and the Eagles Club in Jamestown.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Alice, Streeter, ND; 2 daughters, Marlys (Elliott) Williams-Iszler, Bismarck, ND; Pam (Darcey) Knecht, Fargo, ND; 3 grandchildren, Rachelle (Ross) Hemmer, Travis (Ashley) Knecht, Landon Williams; 1 great grandchild, Claire Hemmer and 2 sisters, Betty (Ron) Bauer, Bismarck, ND; Jeanie Morrison, Edina, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.

Interment - Streeter Cemetery, Streeter, ND.
